Roxanne Henderson writes: “If an agent asks for a cover letter, a synopsis and 3 chapters can you send them your most exciting chapters or should it be the first 3? They have the story line and the ending. My first 3 chapters are entertaining, but farther into the story it gets exciting and dangerous.”
There’s nothing wrong with putting your best foot forward by submitting your most exciting chapters. Be sure that your story synopsis is clear, and explain that these chapters are not contiguous with some brief explanatory copy.
